PARADOX
Something that contradict itself for example in the play Macbeth “fair is foul and foul is fair” this is said by the three witches

PATHETIC FALLACY
when you give emotions to natural things
An example of pathetic fallacy used in the play , macbeth,  is in act 1 scene 3 when the three witches enter the play(stage direction).

METEOPHYSICS

An example of this is when macbeth is told, by the three witches, that he is going to be thane of Cawdor and then king.

Macbeth Act 1 scene 2 translation

For a while you couldn’t tell who would win. The armies were like two exhausted swimmers clinging to each other and struggling in the water, unable to move. The villainous rebel Macdonwald was supported by foot soldiers and horsemen from Ireland and the Hebrides, and Lady Luck was with him, smiling cruelly at his enemies as if she were his whore. But Luck and Macdonwald together weren’t strong enough. Brave Macbeth, laughing at Luck, chopped his way through to Macdonwald, who didn’t even have time to say good-bye or shake hands before Macbeth split him open from his navel to his jawbone and stuck his head on our castle walls.

Fast Track

Many people see fast track as queue jumping as do i, although I’ve used it many times, but other people see it as a privilege. It is seen as a privilege because they’ve ‘earned’ the right to ‘queue jump’ as other people would say. It is frustrating waiting in line for ages and you see someone going to the ride before you ,thats been waiting ages in line, as soon as they get there. Buying the fast track pass allows you to go on any ride in front of the queue. Some people can also be seen as a hypocrite because if they see people with the fast track pass, they do not like it but if they had it they would enjoy everything they possibly could.

This is what i personally think about fast track.

Essay Quotes

A couple of the quotes I am going to look at are;

Quote 1 of Caesar
Act 1 Scene 2

“Such men as he be never at heart’s ease
Whiles they behold a greater than themselves, And therefore are they very dangerous. I rather tell thee what is to be feared Than what I fear; for always I am Caesar.” (Showing arrogance)

Caesar is a egotist. He does not care about his Hubris. He can not see his superiority as Hubris, it is a quality he had got by proving himself to be a strong and powerful Roman.

Quote 2 of Caesar
Act 2 Scene 2

“Caesar should be a beast without a heart, If he should stay at home today for fear. No, Caesar shall not. Danger knows full well that Caesar is more dangerous than he.”

In this quote, aswell as showing hubris, Caesar is facing his fear. He suspects he is going to be murdered but does not want to back down, so he strongly and bravely facing his fate.

Quote 3 of Brutus
Act 2 Scene 1

“It must be by his death, and for my part, I know no personal cause to spurn at him, but for the general. He would be crown’d.”

The quote shows that Marcus Brutus is having an inner conflict with himself whether to choose his best friend’s life, who is Julius Caesar, or Rome.

Quote 4 of Brutus
Act 3 Scene 2

“As Caesar loved me, I weep for him. As he was fortunate, I rejoice at it. As he was valiant, I honor him. But, as he was ambitious, I slew him. There is tears for his love, joy for his fortune, honor for his valor, and death for his ambition.”

I picked this quote because I believe it was a very strong quote. It shows how much Brutus loved Caesar and how much Caesar also loved Brutus. Although the quote shows the brotherly love they had for eachother it shows why Brutus slew him down. Ambition. That was why Caesar fell. Brutus believed ambition was bad and duty was more important as it says “as he was ambitious, I slew him.”

Reckless Book Review

In the book Reckless, a fiction book, a man named Jacob goes on a rough journey throughout a fantasy world. The reason for this is because of his brother Will. Will, who is Jacob’s one and only brother, gets cursed by a Dark Fairy. On his journey Jacob encounters a vixen. A vixen, named fox, that can turn into a woman. Fox then travels with Jacob in order to save his brother Will.

This is where the rugged individual theme jumps in. The vixen and Jacob have to go through harsh environment in order to survive. For example they have to fight, run and hide from rock skin creatures called goyl.

The book Reckless is a book i loved to read. I loved every minute of it and i hope the reader does too. I proclaim this book is for twelve year olds and above.

Essay Intro

Julius Caesar and Marcus Brutus are the main characters in the play ‘Julius Caeser’ and have a lot of similarities between themselves. An example of this is that they both love Rome ,but in a different prospective. They also have the brotherly love they share with each other. In the essay I’m going to point out the similarities and then contrast them with the differences.
